One of the gems of Budapest’s Art Nouveau architecture, the ResoArt Villa was designed by Albert Kőrössy in 1899. Its façade is richly decorated with ornamental motifs and mythological creatures. Inside, visitors can admire a stained-glass window created in the workshop of Miksa Róth, one of Hungary’s greatest Art Nouveau stained-glass artists. Remarkably, it has survived largely intact despite the events and changes of the past century.
The guided tours explore not only the fascinating world of Art Nouveau and its decorative arts, but also the history of the Zsolnay family, who created a Hungarian brand 150 years ago that remains world-famous today. Zsolnay is still associated with some of the most sought-after works of Hungarian decorative art found at leading auction houses around the world.
At the heart of the experience is the story of the passionate collector behind the Villa. Through the collection, he shares his personal journey with visitors, revealing what collecting means to him, what inspired him to restore the Villa and how the collection came to life. He also shares the stories behind the objects, points out some of his favourite pieces and explains why he has never sold a single work from his collection.

Tickets for guided tours at the ResoArt Villa can be purchased in advance online via the Liget+ website, subject to availability.
Once purchased, a ticket is valid only for the programme and time slot indicated on the ticket and cannot be changed to another time slot. Please read the Visitors’ Regulations in advance, available on the ResoArt website (www.resoart.hu).
The ResoArt Villa is open to visitors only during the programmes announced in advance.
The programme takes place both indoors and outdoors, so please dress appropriately for the weather. Comfortable footwear is recommended.
The use of the cloakroom is free of charge and compulsory when visiting exhibitions and events. Luggage, backpacks of any size, umbrellas and bags must be left in the cloakroom.
Some exhibition areas in the building are accessible only via stairs, and the building is not barrier-free.
The guided tour and exhibition are open to visitors aged 10 and over.
The 2-hour parking discount at the Museum Underground Parking (level P1, staircase D) is available on the day of your event with a free Liget+ registration and a ticket purchased while logged in.
