Secrets of Art Nouveau – English Guided Tour with Champagne
Választható időpontokban
On selected summer afternoons, the ResoArt Villa opens its doors for an intimate English-language tour that brings the world of Hungarian Art Nouveau to life. Guests are welcomed with a glass of champagne in the villa’s charming garden before embarking on a guided exploration of one of Budapest’s hidden architectural treasures.
During the one-hour tour, visitors discover the rich symbolism of the Hungarian Secessionist movement, from the floral and mythological motifs adorning the façade to the villa’s stained-glass window and finely crafted wrought-iron details. Special attention is given to the remarkable Zsolnay ceramics of the ResoArt Collection, revealing the unique dialogue between architecture and the decorative arts at the turn of the twentieth century.
Originally built as the private residence of architect Albert Kálmán Kőrössy, the villa is a rare example of the Gesamtkunstwerk ideal, where architecture, interior design, decorative arts and craftsmanship form a harmonious artistic whole. Highlights include the stunning stained-glass window by Miksa Róth and the carefully preserved Art Nouveau details throughout the house.
Returning for the summer season, Secrets of Art Nouveau offers a fascinating introduction to Hungary’s unique interpretation of the Art Nouveau movement and an opportunity to experience one of Budapest’s most remarkable heritage residences in an exclusive setting.
During the summer months, the Collector’s House guided tours are on pause – this series of events focuses exclusively on Hungarian Art Nouveau, with special emphasis on the captivating dialogue between Zsolnay ceramics and architecture.
