Secrets of Art Nouveau – English Guided Tour with Champagne
Választható időpontokban
On two special Fridays in July, the ResoArt Villa opens its doors for an intimate English-language tour that brings the world of turn-of-the-century art and design to life. Guests are welcomed with a glass of champagne served in the villa’s refined salon, before embarking on a guided exploration of this beautifully preserved heritage residence.
During the one-hour tour, visitors will uncover the intricate symbolism of the Hungarian Secessionist style – from floral and mythological motifs on the façade to a stained-glass window and ornate wrought-iron detailing inside. Particular attention is given to the rare Zsolnay ceramics of the ResoArt Collection, which offer a vivid dialogue between applied arts and architecture.
The villa, once the private residence of architect Albert Kálmán Kőrössy, is a masterpiece of unified artistic vision, where every element – from Miksa Róth’s stained-glass window to the delicate interior ornamentation – contributes to the Gesamtkunstwerk ideal of the period.
During the summer months, the Collector’s House guided tours are on pause – this series of events focuses exclusively on Hungarian Art Nouveau, with special emphasis on the captivating dialogue between Zsolnay ceramics and architecture.
