On the occasion of Poetry Day, the April session of our Look at that, Mom! programme is built around the most beautiful poems of Hungarian literature. We immerse ourselves in the world of fine arts and literature, discover connections, and seek out shared experiences expressed in art. As we listen to the poems – translated to English –, we also try to find answers to the question of whether a 19th-century poem and a contemporary work of art can express the same feeling.

We invite moms and dads for a guided tour to enjoy art with their one-year-old or younger babies. As museum educators and mothers alike, we have found that there are few museum programs that appeal to new parents. So with these guided tours we create an atmosphere in which no one is embarrassed by a crying or hungry baby.

The uninterrupted enjoyment of the programme is ensured by the use of tourguide devices. For artifact protection reasons, please secure baby carriers at the front. Visitors arriving with pushchairs are advised to use the barrier-free staff entrance located in Building B, Hunyadi Courtyard.
